Westpac has long been a champion for veteran employment, recognising the valuable skills veterans can bring to the corporate world. Veteran recruitment and support initiatives are led by a dedicated recruitment specialist and internal Employee Action Group (EAG), of 57 veterans, reservists and partners of current serving ADF members. The EAG helps to recruit, mentor and support veteran and spouse employment and retention.
Westpac is a member of the Australian Veterans Employment Coalition, was an official supporter of the Sydney 2018 Invictus Games, has signed the Veterans’ Employment Commitment and has partnered with News Corp and commissioned LinkedIn research to promote better understanding of the value of veteran employment.
