Work is ongoing to improve the evidence base around Australian veteran employment to inform policy and design support for veteran employment into the future. This includes:
- Research to better understand veteran and partner employment and self-employment (business owndership) in the Australian context
- Using available Australian data (2021 Australian Census ) and working with the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare to better understand veteran employment.
- Networking with Five-Eyes country counterparts on relevant research (Canada, New Zealdand, United Kingdom and United States of America)
- Publishing commissioned research:
In 2022 the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) undertook a Rapid Evidence Assessment on Veteran Employment (Assessment) to analyse contemporary evidence and literature around veteran employment
