After serving 11 years in the Australian Regular Army as a Signaller and Section Commander, Rachel Ranton joined St George Bank as a Branch Manager in Southern Queensland. The military skills that Rachel has brought to Westpac and have been highly valued by the organisation include leadership, communication, planning and coaching. Rachel was particularly successful in transforming the culture of the branches she managed to create high performing teams that could operate with autonomy and exceed customer expectations. After managing Branches in Toowoomba and Cairns, she was promoted to Area Leader for thirteen branches from Brisbane City to the Sunshine Coast. During this time Rachel excelled in coaching Branch Managers to develop and lead high performing teams focused on customer service culture.
Rachel’s effective communication skills are highly valued in her current role as an Inclusion and Diversity Consultant, supporting Westpac’s Autism Program, Women of Influence Awards and Veterans Employee Action Group.
