Lydia is a trained producer and event manager, who had a well-established freelance career prior to meeting her ADF partner.
Rather than focussing on the frustration of the frequency of her partner’s postings, Lydia chose to see them as new opportunities to enhance her career rather than limiting it.
Most recently, Lydia worked as the Program Coordinator, Defence Members and Families for Prince’s Trust Australia, where she facilitated many of their programs and workshops. During this role, Lydia was able to directly engage with defence partners seeking work and highlight the skills they already possess as a partner that are highly desirable in the workforce.
Lydia’s involvement with Prince’s Trust Australia has directly led to expanded offerings for the partners of defence personnel, thanks to her advocacy within the organisation.
Lydia is a fierce advocate for defence partner employment and utilises her network to promote opportunities available to partners, including those through Prince’s Trust Australia.
