EPE is a medium sized business that is 100 per cent Australian veteran owned. The company is founded on veterans and we truly value their crucial role in the company’s growth. 43% of employees are ADF veterans, with Veterans totalling 65% of employees when including foreign allied forces. Most of our ADF veterans are active reservists.
EPE provides innovative solutions that protect our customers from an array of current and emerging threats. We are force protection specialists who apply real world operational experience to support and protect defence, law enforcement and emergency response personnel. Our solutions include: Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED); Counter Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (C-CBRNe); Counter Drone, Deployable Infrastructure and Unmanned Systems.
Most veterans at EPE have spent their adult career in the military and the company focusses on assisting their transition to the private sector through corporate skills building, with a focus on: overseas training for Original Equipment Manufacturer technical equipment training; sales skills including revenue forecasting; quoting and building pricing and currency conversion; writing marketing plans and tender proposal responses; Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) training.
Staff engagement and performance is tracked through regular employee engagement checks, where employees are openly able to discuss achievements and roadblocks and seek supervisors coaching or guidance in upcoming tasks. This also provides a safe forum for veteran employees to discuss factors or issues that they may have whilst transitioning to private industry.
