The Veteran Employment Program is proud to announce the first organisations recognised as Veteran Employers of Choice through the refreshed Veteran Employment Commitment.

The Veteran Employment Commitment (VEC) was first launched in 2016 to recognise organisations that employ or support the employment of veterans. In the years following, a diverse range of organisations joined the VEC, proudly demonstrating their commitment to veteran employment.

In April 2024, the Veteran Employment Program (VEP) updated the VEC to a new model. The new model provides practical support and resources to encourage organisations to take action to provide greater employment opportunities and assistance for veterans and partners, while still empowering employers to show their commitment to veteran employment.

Under the new model, organisations may apply to be recognised at one of three levels to better reflect their veteran employment activities:

  • Veteran Employment Supporter
  • Veteran Friendly Employer
  • Veteran Employer of Choice

Veteran Employer of Choice is the top level of the VEC. Organisations at this level have shown that they are leaders in employing and supporting veterans in their workplaces.

The VEP would like to acknowledge the below organisations for their commitment to veteran employment.
